elaborate Pii Mai festival, but other provinces
and towns also celebrate Pi Mai with parades,
beauty contests and performances.

transfer to domestic airport for departure to Luang
Prabang
Afternoon, city tour of the most beautiful
temples (built in 13th - 16th century). |

DAY
2:
Lao New Year in Luang Prabang |
From 7:00 am till sunset, take part
the Lao New Year ceremonies.

DAY 3:
Luang Prabang - Pak Ou |
Visit Vat Xieng Thong (the most
beautiful temple in the city, built in 1560), take
traditional boat trip upstream on the Mekong river to
visit the famous PAK OU CAVES (THAM THING and THAM
PHUM) housing thousands of Buddha statues since the
16th century, the caves were found by King
Setthathirath.
Miss Luang Prabang, young girls dressed in
traditional costume, monks and older people on
pick-up trucks. Watch dancers and musicians.

DAY 4:
Luang Prabang - Vientiane |
Visit NATIONAL MUSEUM, the former
king's palace. visit the market. Transfer to the
airport for departure to Vientiane. The tour will
continue to see the activities of the Lao New Year
at temples in Vientiane.

DAY 6: Vientiane - Departure
|
Program tour will continue
according to the departure time, if time permits,
visit either weaving village or handicraft center.
Transfer to the airport or friendship bridge for
departure.
